| CAT 2013 dates announced; 20 days test window begins on Oct 16The IIM Indore has announced the dates for CAT 2013, declaring the test will be held in between Oct 16 and Nov 11, 2013. Registration for the same will begin on July 29.

LTD “The CAT for 2013 will be held in a 20 days window beginning October 16 at a total of 40 centres across India,” said IIM-Indore Professor Rohit Kapoor who is the convenor for CAT 2013 (http://www.mbauniverse.com/ Four new test centres – Surat, Udaipur, Trivendrum and Vijaywada, have been added for CAT this year. The voucher sale for the CAT 2013 will begin from July 29 and the same will close on September 24, 2013 at selected Axis bank branches across India. According to Prometric, the agency which will conduct the computer-based CAT on behalf of all the 13 IIMs, the candidates can register for the test online until September 26. The dates for CAT 2103 has been announced more than 160 days in advance which gives much more time for MBA aspirants to register and prepare for the same as compared to CAT 2012 when the test dates were announced just 84 days in advance. Year 2010: Total No of Qs- 60 VA- 20 DI-LR- 20 Quant- 20 Difficulty level - Moderate to difficult- Question break up - RC, Grammar, Parajumbles, sentence correction & completion; Quant was tougher compared to CAT 2009. The areas were more calculation intensive and needed conceptual understanding.
