VENICE, Fla. - April 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Nuclear terror. It is not a question if, but when, where, and how it happens. It does not matter anymore who will do it. After development of nuclear weapons by a pipsqueak country like North Korea it is clear that nuclear proliferation is alive and spreading fast. What is unnerving and new is the fact that it may be impossible to determine who is to blame and where to retaliate or even take preventive action to avoid nuclear terror. Even if we know it is being done to support the independence of Chechnya in Russia or the Zapatistas in Mexico, there will not be a distinct target to retaliate.

21st Century Research is conducting a special "Nuclear Terror Geopolitics" research program to evaluate potential threats of the future. The program will also result in publication of several nuclear terror survival guides to facilitate planning for small businesses. All these products will be published as E-Titles on Amazon Kindle.

If we keep in mind that there are at least 40 regions in the world where insurgency is simmering and new leaders are positioning themselves to take advantage of the latest technologies, we should not sleep peacefully at night.

What is misleading is the fact that countries are tightening security measures all over the world in the belief that this will minimize or eliminate the threat. Nothing could be farther from the final truth. As we tighten up security, they will sooner or later realize that only possession and blackmail with a nuclear weapon will bring them to the attention of the world.

That unfortunately is the future of the nuclear proliferation game and it is being understood by an ever increasing number of insurgent fighters and politicos. Better security measures designed to discover and prevent terrorism as such, may in fact accelerate nuclear terror as the preferred weapon in the hands of determined insurgent organizations with political agendas. They will look to nuclear blackmail as the most effective means to achieve results.United States, promoting human rights, freedom and democracy, is the obvious choice for such threats, if it fails to pressure oppressing governments.to deliver changes desired by the insurgents.

Nuclear disarmament initiatives and conferences create an illusion that tte danger of nuclear conflict is receding. This may be true as far as state-controlled nuclear weapons are concerned. At least thirty countries refrained from developing their own "nuclear deterrent" in previous years, lulled into security by promises of protection by the United States. That kind of political luxury seems to have come to an end. Despite continuing proliferation, US policy of progressive nuclear disarmament is setting the country up as a prime target for nuclear terror blackmail.
