You can see a steep difference between the ranks of certain B schools according to different rankings.

The primary reason behind various B schools being ranked differently across surveys is adoption of different methodologies. Different methods assign different weightage to key factors determining the final ranking. Some surveys (like the one conducted by MBAUniverse.com) are based only on ‘hard data’ provided by B-schools through a structured questionnaire, while other rankings include results of ‘perception’ surveys that they conduct among recruiters and students.
