Follow on Google News | IEEE Computer Society Seeks Contributors for IT GuideThe IEEE Computer Society is accepting applications for contributing authors for the Guide to the Information Technology Body of Knowledge (ITBOK Guide).
The ITBOK Guide will provide guidance to IT practitioners on delivering information services within enterprise organizations. It is being created in parallel with an IT Competency Model based on the Skills Framework for the Information Age. These two efforts will help IT professionals chart their career paths. Contributing authors are needed to develop chapters in the ITBOK Guide, review other authors' chapters, and adjudicate recommendations for changes and updates. Time commitments vary from several hours per week to a few hours per month over a period of one year. Participants will need written and oral English fluency, strong writing, collaboration, and communication skills; knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as ITIL or COBIT; and a thorough understanding of IT organizations and the services they provide. Hands-on experience working in IT is required, in addition to experience with standards development, and managing IT and working in medium-to-large IT organizations (35-100+ people).
