Main Hoon. A song by Euphoria.

GREATER KAILASH, India - March 12, 2013 - PRLog -- “Main Hoon”, is  a special song that has been dedicated as a tribute to the girl child by one of the famous bands in India “ Euphoria” . Dr. Palash Sen , the lead singer has written, composed & sung the song and it’s a ode to all daughters in the world.

“Main Hoon” , song was especially dedicated by Plan India to commemorate the special day for girl child  on 11th of October . The song also feature Indian Ocean, Indus Creed, Parikrama & Lady Shri Ram (LSR) college western music society. A melodious mystic rock concert was organized with the six best bands in the country to raise awareness stressing on the need for education and dignity to be bestowed upon girl child who faces double discrimination due to her gender and age.  The concert was aimed to raise awareness and funds that would be utilized to improve the lives of the girls through education, protection, skill building and empowerment.

India’s famous Rock Bands Indian Ocean, Indus Creed, Sona Mahapatra, Euphoria, Papon and Parikrama had enthralled the crowd as they belted out popular numbers from their album.

This initiative was part of 'Because I am a Girl' campaign , a global initiative launched by Plan to promote girls' rights and lift millions of them out of poverty. The campaign is aimed towards equipping, enabling and engaging girls of all ages to acquire the assets, skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in life.
