-- Shari Belafonte, an avid photographer and spokesperson for the Lillie Claire Foundation brings her exquisitely crafted prints to Gallery 446 in Palm Springs, California.
Shari, known for her successful career as an actress, model and singer, has always been a strong advocate of the arts. Today she uses her photographic eye and powers of inspiration and imagination to capture innumerable social and cultural rituals, people, and landscapes. This exhibition will introduce yet another perspective of her artistic talent.
The exhibit demonstrates Shari’s exceptional vision of color and context while encapsulating timeless floral magical imagery. The collection from her “Lily, O and I” portfolio, is a sensual grouping of floral perspectives. Through the use of captivating photographic angles, Orchids, Lilies and Iris', engage the viewer’s imagination through timeless imagery. Shari creates sheer magic by manipulating her camera lens, such that the sensual essence of each petal - and its vibrant hues - are memorialized on both small and large, oversized fiber paper displays. Each piece is a captivating, magnetic “1st Print” collectible, worthy of contemplation. It will revive the soul.
Although Shari is still recognized for her performances as an actress and cover girl model, her career as a photographer and writer spans over a decade.
