March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Calgary, AB –   With just eleven days left the push to promote Empowering Calgary is on.  The Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (CPAA) is honored to be involved in hosting Empowering Calgary; a one day event that is sure to inspire, motivate and create a new mindset with Calgarians.

With well over 100 tickets sold already, Calgarians have spoken and we have listened; change really can happen.  Attendees will be stimulated, educated and entertained by remarkable and well-known local speakers and performers who are giving back to their community.  All presenters are volunteering their time and services and directing all proceeds to the CPAA.  “We are very happy to have such a great line up of speakers coming to Calgary, and even more so we are privileged to be involved,” spoke Joanne Dorn, Director of Development, “This event has happened in Edmonton for the past 3 years and I felt it was time to come to Calgary.  I know Calgarians will embrace this day and maybe even create a bit of a rivalry once again with Edmonton and Calgary.”

Guest speaker line-up includes; Alvin Law, Michael Kerr, Wayne Lee, Melanie Hayden-Spark, Cory Johnson, Jim Yih.  All bios for each speaker and information can be located directly on the Empowering Calgary website

Empowering Calgary will take place at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino (11500 – 35 Street SE) on Monday, March 11, 2013. The program beings at 8:30 am and will commence at 4:30 pm.  All information and to purchase tickets can be located at http://www.empoweringcalgary.com
