Portland Based Band Recognized by Prestigious Songwriter Competition

Finalists will be announced at the end of February and overall category winners announced in April.
Those Willows formed as an acoustic duo in 2007 by musicians Melissa Tarter and Jack Wells. The pair's music incorporates a spectrum of genres including soul, folk, rock and jazz. They released their first full-length album Rivertown in February 2012. The pair’s songs have been heard on television shows both in the United States and Europe including: “Lying Games” (ABC Family), the UK's “Skins,” and reality shows on Animal Planet, MTV, VH-1 and Bravo.
