Mazda Named As One of the Top 3 Brands by Consumer Reports

Feb. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- Every year, Consumer Reports lists its picks for the best cars and trucks for sale based on a combination of road test and reliability surveys from its 8 million subscribers.

Mazda products were lauded for their blend of practicality, sportiness and efficiency. The brand offered good handling, fuel economy and versatility, said Consumer Reports.

The magazine starts by driving a car for about 2,000 miles to wear it in. It then conducts about 50 tests, covering performance in areas such as handling and braking. The entire testing process requires about 5,000 miles of driving over several weeks, the magazine says.

Mazda models are among the most reliable cars. Most deliver a good blend of practicality, sportiness, and efficiency. The company also moved forward with the sporty new CX-5 SUV and its line of fuel-efficient Skyactiv engines. Consumer Reports currently Recommends 89 percent of the Mazda models it has tested.
