Financial Planning Association of New Jersey Helps Rutgers Students

The Financial Planning Association of New Jersey (FPANJ) is working closely with Rutgers University students to offer free lectures on finance.
 
Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Recognizing the need for real world experiences, the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey (FPANJ) is working closely with Rutgers University students studying for their Financial Planning exam.  There are a series of lectures planned through the Spring which will mirror the courses these students are taking for their exam.

Several FPANJ members have already stepped forward to volunteer their time and expertise for these Rutgers students.  Nicholas Scheibner is an FPANJ Board member & a planner with Baron Financial Group in Fair Lawn, NJ.  Mr. Scheibner spoke to the students about how the Financial Planning student experience helped him in his personal development towards a career in Financial Planning and how he used the exposure from the FPANJ to help gain employment when he graduated from William Paterson University.  Laura Mattia CFP® CRPS® CDFA™ MBA, is a planner with Baron Financial Group and a member of FPANJ.  Ms. Mattia is the Faculty Coordinator at Rutgers and she lectured about the profession as a whole and its future.  Robert Rafano CFP® CPRC® CLTC, is a former FPANJ Board Member & Managing Director of Rafano and Associates, a Financial Advisory Practice of Ameriprise based in South River, NJ.  He will be speaking with the students  about the fundamentals & process of Retirement Planning.  Additional lecturers and topics are planned to help the students identify opportunities for them beyond their experience at Rutgers.
