By: Motor Werks Mercedes-Benz Barrington The new 2015 E400 sedan with feature a choice of either rear-wheel or 4MATIC® all-wheel drive options powered by the twin-turbo V6, which is reported to deliver about 330 hp and 350 lb-ft of torque. Early speculation is that the new sedan will cost more than the 2014 E350, and will most probably be a replacement for the 2014 E550 model, which will therefore no longer be available beginning with the 2015 model year. News regarding changes in store for the coupe and cabriolet models of the E-Class is sketchy at present. Since neither of these models have an AMG® version, there has been some speculation about whether the V8 versions of these models will be offered with the same twin-turbo V6 slated to be featured in the 2015 E400. The robust new V6 engine will boast superb efficiency, and could possibly feature new advanced technologies such as a stop/start function. The transmission is expected to be a 7-speed automatic, and a sport-tuned suspension is almost certain to be standard. As luxury goes hand-in-hand with outstanding performance for Mercedes-Benz, plenty of upscale appointments, premium materials, and advanced high-tech gadgetry are sure to be standard equipment on the 2015 E400 sedan.
