Scores of GATE 2013 will now use for Jobs in PSU

Feb. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- The grades and marks of GATE 2013 will be used for placements by several public sector units. Popular Companies like Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited ( HPCL) will recruit those candidates who have appeared for GATE 2013 Exams.

HPCL will be hiring approximately 250 Engineering Graduates who have cleared the GATE 2013 Exams. There are several jobs available for engineering graduates with specializations in Civil, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, & Instrumentation Engineering.

The eligibility criteria for the Candidates are that they should have clear the qualifying degree examinations & from recognized Indian Universities/ Institutes. Candidates (belonging to Gen.  & OBC-NC category) should have secured at least 60% of marks in qualifying degree examinations. Relaxation is provided to SC/ST/PWD candidates up to 50%. Final year candidates in engineering studies may also apply. The final score and grades should be submitted by 31st August 2013.

HPCL announced its last date for receiving online applications as 14th February, 2013. Thirteen other Public Sector Units (PSUs) have assured that the GATE 2013 scores will be given weightage for placements. Few Psu’s that will take GATE scores into consideration for placements are Bharat National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Power Grid, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) will also accept the scores.
