Spring Awakening Festival Returns for a Second Year at Soldier Field in 2013

Feb. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Dance music lovers here in Chicago are alive and well, and as warmer weather rolls around, the Spring Awakening Festival will be returning to rock the Windy City for a second time! As Chicago’s only All Dance Music Festival, the Spring Awakening is not only an epic two-day event for Chicagoans, but for music fans all across the country who come to take part in this high-energy spectacle.

Last year, the inaugural Soldier Field Spring Awakening Festival took over Chi-town as Skrillex, Afrojack, and Moby headlined, filling Soldier Field with thousands of raving music fans. This year, while the line-up has yet to be revealed, this burgeoning Chicago dance music extravaganza is sure to rock the legendary stadium for a second time, continuing an exciting new tradition of this phenomenal summer kick-off event. After all, in the words of Destructo – dance music is like the flu, it always goes away, but only to come back stronger!

The Spring Awakening Festival will return to Soldier Field with three stages (the main stage will be on the stadium field) for three action-packed days – Saturday June 15th through Sunday June 16th. The estimated hours of the event are 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Early bird tickets are already gone, but general admission tickets will be available soon, so be sure to check back here (http://www.clubtix.com/springawakeningfest/spring-awakeni...). Alcohol will be available for purchase for general admission ticket holders over the age of 21. VIP tickets are also available, though for an elevated price, as V.I.P.S will be able to observe the entire festival from the colonnades around Soldier Field, overlooking the gorgeous downtown skyline, and picturesque Lake Michigan.

React and Congress Theater are proud to present this special start of the summer festival, which was originally founded in 2008 at the Congress Theater. Unsurprisingly, the event quickly outgrew the small 5,000 capacity venue, and has moved into the glorious 35,000 capacity home of the Chicago Bears.

All Soldier Field parking lots will be open for the festival. For those coming in from out of town, there are also numerous hotels located near Soldier Field, including Hyatt Regency McCormick Place (http://mccormickplace.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels-mccormickpla...) and Hilton Chicago (http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/illinois/hilton-chicago-...). The festival is open to all ages, and while it will be rainy season here in Chicago, there are no refunds for Spring Awakening – rain or shine.
