Follow on Google News | Union Resident Jeriel Roberts Achieves Significant Milestone as ToastmasterToastmasters International recently announced that Union, NJ resident; Jeriel Roberts has achieved the Competent Leader award.

Banks, MAS, CL, ALB “Becoming a Competent Leader is a great achievement,” After completing the ten (10) Competent Leader projects, a Toastmasters member is entitled to the Competent Leader (CL) award, and may add the post-nominal CL to their name for Toastmasters purposes. After earning the CL award the Toastmaster can further refine and develop his leadership skills by working in the advanced leader program. Members working in this program are eligible for Advanced Leader Bronze (ALB) and Advanced Leader Silver (ALS) recognition. Club Vice President of Education, Anita Crum presented Jeriel with a special award to recognize the milestone. Mr. Roberts joined Toastmasters in 2010 and belongs to Toastmaster Club of Union. “A good leader sets the example. They know that others will follow their lead. I hope that this inspires others to try taking on a leadership role in whatever situation they may be in, whether it be work, school, social club, etc. It can be a shock to the system that can pay off in a wonderful way in the end. Don’t be afraid to take the lead when the opportunity comes,” said Roberts.
