Follow on Google News | Union NJ Resident, Dawn P. Maxemow Earns Toastmasters Top Leadership Achievement AwardToastmasters International announced today that Union, NJ resident Dawn P. Maxemow successfully completed the High Performance Leadership Program and earned the "Advanced Leader Silver Award", Toastmasters top leadership achievement designation.

In yesterday’s 5- to 7-minute speech titled “Planning for Success,” Maxemow presented the results of her High Performance Leadership project. This speech both marked the completion of her High Performance Leadership project and earned her Toastmasters’ “Communication skills are so important in all aspects of your life. Not only has Toastmasters helped me to become a better public speaker, but it has taught me how to be a better leader, mentor, and listener” says Maxemow. To achieve Advanced Leader Silver, a Toastmasters member must • Achieve Advanced Leader Bronze award (or "old" Competent Leader award) • Serve a complete term as a district leader (district governor, lieutenant governor, public relations officer, secretary, treasurer, division governor, or area governor). • Complete the High Performance Leadership program • Serve successfully as a club sponsor, mentor, or coach Maxemow’s leadership and communication achievements in Toastmasters include serving as an Area Governor; serving as a club President, Vice President of Education, Vice President of Membership, Sergeant-at- “Dawn is a rare gem, with the most pleasant manner imaginable. She exerts leadership skills to put everyone to work hard. In fiscal year of 2009-2010, Dawn was one of the most productive area governors in District 83 Toastmasters. Her Area 54 completed all goals of distinguished area program, ahead of the majority," stated Brian Lin, DTM, PDG District 83, Toastmasters International. "Dawn is dedicated, passionate, organized, and efficient. She always helps when called upon. Her ability to multi-task and does everything properly is impressive. Besides being actively involved in Toastmasters throughout the years, Maxemow has been on the Executive Board of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at her children’s school, Livingston Elementary, in Union, NJ, for 5 years and has served on numerous committees.
