Automotive Technician Students in Pueblo Receive Awards at Potluck

Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- Automotive students from the Engines and Manual Transmissions classes of IntelliTec College’s Automotive Technician program (http://www.intelliteccollege.com/career-training-programs/technical-trades/automotive-technician.php) mentioned that they wanted to hold a holiday potluck, and program faculty ran with it. Lunch breaks were extended to accommodate two family-friendly potlucks where students brought in their homemade food creations to share with their peers.

Approximately 50 faculty, students, friends and family attended the daytime event at IntelliTec’s Pueblo campus where Dean of Students Ginger Maggrett handed out awards. Around 35 people showed up for the evening event as Dean of Students Kent Burger handed out the remaining awards. In addition to the great food and awards IntelliTec College raffled off two baseball caps, and Power Credit Union stopped by to raffle off a gift card for Auto Zone.

Events like this allow students to enjoy some well-deserved fun while bringing community recognition to the College and its programs. Automotive Program Supervisor Anton Floyd said for the holidays they are “giving the students a break in order to recharge so they can come back strong next year.”
