Heapsylon Sensoria Selected As Finalist Of Wearable Technologies Innovation World Cup 2012

Jan. 14, 2013 - PRLog -- Heapsylon Sensoria is a family of e-textile sensor enabled devices for the human foot. The sock shaped Sensoria device has been selected as one of the finalists for “The WT Innovation World Cup 2012”.

The competition is focused on emerging Wearable Technologies in Sports & Fitness, Healthcare & Wellness, Security & Prevention and Gaming & Lifestyle. Heapsylon has been chosen by WT jurors as a finalist in the sports & fitness category.  

Heapsylon Sensoria wearable solutions will be showcased at the Wearable Technologies booth during ISPO, a leading international sports business trade show. At ISPO MUNICH over 2,300 international exhibitors present the sporting goods, athletic footwear and fashions for the Outdoor, Ski, Action und Performance Sports to more than 80,000 visitors from over 100 countries.

Heapsylon’s products can track exercise, activity type and level, in-footwear pressure and other interesting data coming from the user’s foot. The Sensoria product line is named after the part of the brain where all nerves in our body come together. That is what the Sensoria smart socks do by wirelessly connecting their smart fabrics sensors to the consumer’s mobile or big screen device.

After over two years of research and development the new Heapsylon Sensoria wearable devices for fitness and healthcare are now at prototype stage.

The WT Innovation World Cup 2012 competition is initiated by Wearable Technologies one of the most important organizations in this field in the world, and organized by Navispace AG. The winner will be announced at the ISPO conference in Munich, Germany on February 4th as part of the WT Conference 2013.
