Family Obtains Generous Settlement in Trucking Accident Case

While the trucking company admitted fault, it disputed the nature and extent of the family’s injuries, as well as the reasonableness of their medical bills. The case settled at mediation on January 6, 2012 with the assistance of a mediator, who is a retired judge.

The settlement amounts included the following: 24-year-old driver - $300,000, the 53-year-old mother - $177,500, the 54-year-old father - $95,000, the driver’s wife - $17,000, and the seven month old baby- $1,000 for her injuries.
