Seven in 10 People Focusing On Their Career in 2013 Says Astrologer

In 2013, more people will concentrate on their career than love, family or children, says new survey
Jan. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Australian astrologer Elizabeth Ball said the Christmas break typically makes people consider if they should stay with their current organisation, open their own business or seek better career prospects.

“Our recent survey found 69.6 per cent plan to focus on their career in 2013, with more Baby Boomers than Gen-Xers (72.7 vs 65.6 per cent) wanting to improve their prospects,” Ms Ball said.

Ms Ball said the Christmas holidays coincides with the period (December 21 to 20 January) that the Sun is in Capricorn, the star sign, which among other things, rules career, society and status.

“Other top areas of focus for 2013 are money (68.3 per cent), personal fulfilment (65.0 per cent), love (63.4 per cent), and health/spirituality (57.2 per cent). Only 44.8 per cent will focus on home and family next year and only 19.9 per cent will concentrate on children and pregnancy,” she said.

Ms Ball said the survey also found:

·       * 40.0 per cent were fired or quit their jobs at age 28-30 (when Saturn returns to the sign it was in at birth), with 56.1 per cent of Gen Ys fired or likely to have quit at that time

·       * Three in 10 (29.3 per cent) opened their own business at age 28-30, while 18.7 per cent were promoted to senior roles at that age

·       * Over half (51.2 per cent) would use astrology to find the best date to start a business, while 39.1 per cent would do so to get a raise, promotion or new job.

Ms Ball has been conducting lifestyle surveys as part of her astrology website, It’s In The Stars, which has features dozens of original gift options, including astrology consultations, since 2005.

“Many people book astrology readings in times of major change for some guidance and clarity. Many of them are aged in their late 20s and mid-50s, which is the classic Saturn return time,” Ms Ball said.
