London 2012 Olympic Games DVD Becomes Top Seller On Amazon.co.uk

Dec. 18, 2012 - PRLog -- The London 2012 Olympic Games brought a real feel-good factor to the UK over the summer, as indeed did the Paralympic Games, which followed soon afterwards.

Not only were the actual games a resounding success, but Team GB delivered their best ever medal haul and ended up finishing an incredible third in the medal table behind the USA and China, which of course lifted the spirits of an entire nation.

As Christmas draws ever closer, memories of London 2012 are starting to fade. However it seems as if people are still desperate to relive some of these memories because at the time of writing, the London 2012 Olympic Games DVD is the best-selling DVD on Amazon.co.uk.

This DVD has been one of the top-selling box sets for several weeks now, but just recently it has outsold some of the most popular movie DVDs, such as Ted and The Dark Knight Rises, to top the overall list of best-sellers.

This may have something to do with Sunday night's Sports Personality of the Year because this celebrated the sporting year and looked back at some of the memories from the Olympic Games.

Some of the highlights included Super Saturday, where Mo Farah, Jessica Ennis and Greg Rutherford all won gold medals for Great Britain in a memorable evening of athletics, Andy Murray winning a gold medal and Nicola Adams winning the first ever gold medal in women's boxing.

There is also a chance to see international superstars such as Usain Bolt and Michael Phelps make history at 2012 by adding even more medals to their collection.
