what we need to prepare for Mud tank production ?

Dec. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- If you have worked on a drilling rig site, you may know much information of mud tanks. They are just boxes in steel and easy to fabricate. However, maybe that is your first impression. If you happen to find the article and read it carefully, you may change your thought on mud tanks.

As an old proverb say, it is easier said than done. So let us discuss what we need to do or what we have to pay attention when we fabricate a mud tank.

(1)   Design drawing:
The engineer should draw the design drawing according to the requirements of the customer. And then we confirmed it by both sides.

(2)   The fabrication material:
We need to check with the customer what they want to use as usual. But generally, we need H-steel, I-steel, corner line steel, checkered plate, steel grating, corrugated wall and something else.
The material is chosen according to the different part of mud tanks. We need H-steel and I-steel to build the base frame, corner line steel to cover the corner line and form protection. Corrugated wall to build the four walls of the mud tanks and steel grating to build the upper cover of the mud tanks.

(3)   Working drawing:
After all confirmed by customer above, then we need to prepare working drawing for production, also by engineer.

(4)   Production material purchasing
After (1)(2)(3) confirmed by customer, first we need to place order for the production.
(5)   Then, we could start manufacturing now. We should pay attention to the tracing quality in the whole process. Every material has it’s own No. to trace. And in the process, the customer could come to check time and time again.

We leave out the part of fabrication, this part is charged by PD.
