Follow on Google News | ATMA 2012 Preparation@ 1 Days to ATMA December 2012: A relook at the patternIn this ongoing season of MBA entrance exam, the next exam which is scheduled this Sunday, Dec 9, 2012 is ATMA. ATMA or AIMS Test is conducted by AIMS.
By: MBAUniverse.com The format of the test will allow you to start the exam with any section of your choice. You can also move to and fro between the sections. There is no sectional duration. The total duration is 180 minutes. There are three areas of testing in the exam, which are Quantitative Skills, Verbal Skills and Analytical Reasoning. There are two sections under each of these areas. The overall difficulty level is moderate. Let us have a look at the section wise pattern of the exam. Quantitative Skill The total number of questions in this section is 60. The questions were broadly from Arithmetic and Higher Math. In the Arithmetic part, the questions are from Time & Work, Time & Distance, Clocks, Numbers, Progressions, Geometry & Mensuration, Quadratic Equations, Ratio-Proportion, Average, Alligations, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest and Number Series. The questions on Higher Math are from Permutation & Combination and Probability. Verbal Skills This section has 50 questions. It is divided in two sections, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability. There are four passages in the RC question. The Verbal Ability questions are on Synonyms, Fill in the blanks, Para Formation Questions and Select the most appropriate words. Analytical Reasoning This section consists of 50 questions. The questions were divided into Analytical Reasoning and Critical Reasoning. The topics of questions under Analytical Reasoning are Puzzles, Data Sufficiency, Input-Output, Operator based questions and Statements & Conclusions. The Critical Reasoning topics were Assumptions & Conclusions, Strong & Weak Arguments, Course of Action and Cause & Effect. The difficulty level of this section was moderate to difficult. The result of ATMA 2012 will be declared on Thursday, December 20, 2012. The next ATMA exams for the admission for the academic year 2013-15 will be conducted on February 17, 2013, May 26, 2013 and August 4, 2013.
