Judge Issues Award in Favor of Imbesi Christensen Client after Hearing

Dec. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- Attorney Brittany Weiner, an associate of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an employee who was denied unemployment benefits.

The Honorable Tammy Collins issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after an in-person hearing was conducted.  The decision overruled a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee was terminated due to misconduct. Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determination, disqualifying the claimant from receiving benefits effective December 4, 2011, on the basis that the claimant lost employment through misconduct in connection with that employment and holding that the wages paid to claimant ...is overruled.

The claimant is allowed benefits with respect to the issues decided herein
