Urunji Child-Care Trust 'I Have a Net' initiative has benefited 600 children so far with insecticide treated mosquito nets.

Dec. 5, 2012 - PRLog -- The Urunji Child-Care Trust is calling all well-wishers and donors to support its malaria initiative in Malawi, Africa. They have so far distributed mosquito nets to 600 children and need a further 3000 nets to complete the 1st phase of the programme. Urunji Child-Care Trust runs a feeding programme for children in rural areas of Malawi to enable them attend school and fight malnutrition. Visit http://www.urunjichildcare.org for more information.

Malaria kills a child every 60 seconds and is the largest killer of children more than AIDS. In Malawi, poverty is the main cause of lack of access to mosquito nets which leads to avoidable deaths especially during the rain season that spans from November to May. You can support the initiative in various ways. We appreciate cash donations of $100 or more. Please visit our website or Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Urunji for photos and videos of our work.

Urunji Child-Care Trust believes in educating children and community empowerment and uses these tools to fight poverty, AIDS, malaria and hunger in rural communities. Please feel free to volunteer with us. Free volunteer opportunities available all year round.
