ULocker Ransomware Continues to Plagiarize Police Departments Only to Extort Money from PC Users

ULocker Ransomware is a vicious and deceptive notification message and malware threat that attempts to make computer users believe that they have been detected performing illegal activities and must pay up a fine for doing so.

Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- ULocker Ransomware is a rather clever creation by computer hackers. ULocker Ransomware thrives on the infamous Ukash payment processing system where it will offer an online payment setup for PC users to quickly pay a fine that is demanded for supposedly conducting illegal actions on the internet. Some of the actions claimed by the ULocker Ransomware message are viewing porn or sharing copyright material including media and software files.

ULocker Ransomware is similar to other ransomware threats such as the FBI Green Dot Moneypak ransomware threat and Your Computer Has Been Locked DOJ FBI warning ransomware. All of these threats are rendered as a pop-up message that closely resembles a local police agency or FBI website. By mimicking these entities it plays on a PC user’s perception in making them believe that the ULocker Ransomware message is legit and they must pay a fine.

Paying a fine through the ULocker Ransomware Ukash system will only send money directly to a hacker’s bank account. There is no justification in the ULocker Ransomware message as it is completely baseless.

Most times systems with ULocker Ransomware installed will be locked down where it prevents users from opening some applications or performing normal functions on an infected PC. Locking up a system is part of the ULocker Ransomware scam, forcing PC users to believe that by paying the fine it will somehow unlock their system. Let it be known, paying the ULocker Ransomware fine will not unlock a system or eliminate the ULocker Ransomware message.

Removing the complete ULocker Ransomware threat message and any associated malware files usually requires using an antimalware or antispyware program designed to safely detect and delete malware/spyware. A new blog post at http://www.onlinesafety411.com/remove-ulocker-ransomware-message-malware-threat has been an assistance to many PC users with removing ULocker Ransomware from their system. Additionally, ULocker Ransomware blog post linked above has other resources for those who may have trouble removing ULocker Ransomware and may require booting into safe mode to do so.
