Follow on Google News | Chatham company urges others to get mobile – or lose businessA Kent website development company is urging companies large and small to follow suit after re-designing its own website to make it mobile.
By: Blueberry PR Netsite Managing Director Paul Duthoit explains: “I can’t emphasise strongly enough that websites need to be easy to use on a smartphone. Our new website showcases how a mobile site should display and we’re really pleased with it. It’s surprising just how many websites don’t work well on mobile applications and the companies that own them could be losing business as a result.” As part of the re-design, Netsite developers decided to introduce humour and a human element to the new site by giving each team member an image and profile – including the office dog called Misha. Demand for the services of Netsite and sister company RecruitActive are growing which has resulted in three new members of staff, including a recent graduate, being taken on in the past year which brings the total workforce up to 10. Paul added: “The demand for e-recruitment services is especially high as it can help companies make dramatic savings, but we are also getting lots of interest in apps as there are so many ways they can help companies in their everyday business.” Chatham-based Netsite offers a range of services from bespoke website design through to content managed e-recruitment systems. The company was established 15 years ago and has clients including the NHS, Rochester Avionic Archives, Crewsaver and The Historic Dockyard Chatham.
