Nov. 7, 2012 - PRLog -- We offer inhalation sedation with nitrous oxide and oxygen, also known as "laughing gas."  This sedation has a lot of advantages and almost no disadvantage.  It works well for mild to moderate anxiety, it has rapid onset and quick recovery time.   Level of sedation is quickly controlled with very few side effects.  Patient can drive themselves to and from dental appointments.

We  also offer oral sedation.  Administered in the form of pills.  Qualified dentists prescribe right amount of dosage to our patients before dental procedures.    It is safe, painless and very beneficial.  Patients feel much relaxed and tend to pull through dental procedures longer without it.Since it is swallowed before dental procedure, big advantage is it does not have the fees associated with an I.V. sedation.  It is much easier to administer by mouth than by I.V.  It is generally easier to monitor. All patients respond favorably to orally administered sedation.

Also another alternative for  deeper sedation is via I.V. conscious sedation.   Qualified dentists administer sedation kslu directly into patients' blood stream.  It is safe, painless and very beneficial.  Patients often feel like their dental procedure lasted only a few minutes, when in fact it might have taken hours to perform.  Patients are brought down to controlled deep sleep where they are able to breath by themselves.  Complex dental procedures like full mouth rehabitalization procedures that require multiple visits can be performed in fewer appointments.
It may cut total dental visits with little or no anxiety.
