-- Rugby fans can follow all the on-field exploits of the Welsh team and catch the action from this year’s Autumn internationals live in the city centre over the next few weeks.
Starting this weekend, Swansea’s Big Screen in Castle Square will screen three of Wales’ forthcoming Autumn test matches.
First up is Argentina on Saturday 10 November at 2.30pm, followed a fortnight later by New Zealand (5.15pm, Saturday 24 November), culminating with a much anticipated clash on Saturday 1 December (2.30pm) against Australia, who Wales recently played in a closely contested three match summer tour.
Frances Jenkins, Swansea Council’s Strategic Manager for Culture, Tourism, Marketing and Events, said, “The Big Screen is perfect for sport and we are pleased that Wales’ Autumn matches will be shown live. It is also ideal for those who are out shopping in Swansea in the run up to Christmas and just want to catch an update of the score.”
The screen has proved very popular throughout 2012 especially during the summer when it attracted large crowds to watch the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.”
