Nov. 1, 2012 - PRLog -- He explained how it allowed him to think smart, not hard. At first I didn’t quite comprehend what he meant by this, but after he elaborated and shared his personal development during a time of difficulty it made a lot of sense.

The Managing Director of Redfive has always prided himself on his unyielding work ethic, if he had a competitor he knew he would simply out work them, and they would not be able to compete with his determination to win. Yet through his illness he knew this was impossible, he had weakened physically, but understood mentally he was still very strong, and so he analysed situations, he looked for the best solutions, he worked out the right scenario. He worked smart not hard, and most certainly didn’t allow illness to become an obstacle and take away everything which he had worked so hard for.

Redfive appreciates that if you’re a business owner, you’ve undoubtedly encountered obstacles with your business. Sometimes we get so overworked that we just can't see beyond our own noses. We have multiple distractions that continually push and draw our attention to different places. Sometimes in the midst of all the confusion, a setback can occur. This is a common problem amongst business owners and it should not be treated lightly.

While obstacles do create often unavoidable frustration, they also force us to evaluate what works and what doesn’t. We are challenged to determine what doesn’t work, and turn it around to produce more effective strategies to better ensure success. Building a business requires a lot of trial and error, one of the key elements in generating a successful business.

Redfive acknowledge that there are numerous situations that can arise in running your business: Sales deliveries can arrive late, customers can cancel orders and employees can have accidents. Pitfalls, setbacks and obstacles are likely to present themselves numerous times throughout the life of your business, as well as in your personal life. The key to overcoming these setbacks is to be prepared for any obstacle that may occur by implementing internal controls to help manage the impact of the situation. This is how a successful business continues to thrive.

Every day you face decisions that dictate whether your business will succeed or fail. A successful business uses their shortcomings to develop successful business strategies. Our failures serve as tools to assist us in discovering what works well and what we should avoid in the future.

Redfive believe that the most successful entrepreneurs strive to discover ways to consistently improve their product or services. It makes no difference if you own a small business or a corporation, success is dependent on growth. To achieve growth we must always be looking for new ways to improve our business strategies in an effort to lead our business to the next level of success.

Step up to the challenge of consistently improving your products or services. Actively seek new opportunities that offer the potential for growth and taking your business to the next level of success. Acknowledge your weaknesses, and find ways to turn them into productive new ways to achieve success. Make a conscious effort to consistently promote your business.
