At the last second she barely saved the fork from going down his throat. Panicked, she immediately set out to make sure this would never happen to another pet. After researching a fork for dogs, she discovered a nightmare, x-rays of dogs with forks in their stomachs. She took it upon herself and invented the only patented safety food utensil for animals. Val's dogs are her kids, and she treats them as part of the family.  Her last few bites of food have always been given to her dogs from a fork. She realized they got excited when they saw the fork and knew they were going to love whatever is on it. Her dogs are able to detect vitamins and pills in their food and spit them out, when she tries to hide them.  She refuses to shove any pills down their throats; she found that if she hid the pills and used her fork, they gladly gobbled up what was offered.  That's when she realized that it's a great way to give their meds and vitamins.
