Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz donates clothes to the homeless

Oct. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, P.A. donated more than 100 pounds of new and gently used clothes to Blankets for the Homeless of Fort Myers.

The organization’s goal is to feed and clothe as many homeless and disadvantaged local families as possible. Sharie Zipperer began Blankets for the Homeless from her home in 2001. It follows the Jesse Jackson motto, “Never look down on someone unless you are helping them up.”

With the aid of her two teenage daughters, Charlie and Sammie, the Zipperers have expanded their services from collecting groceries to offering holiday meals and closets full of clothes and shoes for all ages. According to Zipperer, “Anyone is welcome and everything donated goes directly to those who need assistance.”

Carleen A. Menist, a legal assistant at Goldstein, Buckley, Cechman, Rice & Purtz, P.A., spearheads countless charitable drives throughout the year for the law firm. “We strongly believe in supporting local organizations and those within our community. Not only do these drives help those less fortunate, but they increase camaraderie and morale within the office.”
