Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Sarah Melody is an emerging Pop/Urban-Rock artist and songwriter on the Canadian music scene.  She has been focused on studio recording and live performance for the past several years, sharpening her skill.   With support from her 4-piece band, she launched her full length CD, “Side Two”, in the fall of 2007.

Sarah’s style of music is a form of smooth R & B, pop, and rock with an eclectic diverse creative edge to it.  The creative side allows her to embellish and create music that has meaning and has impact on the world around her.  “I’ve been writing a lot of different style of music these days. As a songwriter, I write for my audience and want my music to be relatable”, states Sarah.    Sarah uses her music as a tool to speak out on human rights issues.  Her storylines influence listeners through her musical arrangements and content leaving a lasting impression.

Sarah is happy to announce the release of “Stand Back” (rock mix) featuring Snow. The original was more of an R & B song from her debut CD “Side Two”.  This version has more of a pop/rock style to it.  Her interest in re-mixing the song was primarily due to her working with a live band.  “Stand Back” is a story about a woman’s intolerance to her boyfriend cheating on her.  She follows him without him knowing.  This song carries a serious message all set to a hot hip-hop beat.  It has a smooth rhythm, great lyrics, and has a great catchy verse.

Sarah is currently writing new material for her second project (release date of 2013) with co-writers including Brian Allen (Toronto, HEART, Lee Aaron), Chris Perry (Keshia Chanté, Shawn Desman, George, Kalan Porter, AlliSims), Rob James (McMaster and James), and Angie Ricci (Sarah Melody’s mom).  “Whatever comes out of the pen and on to the paper will be the new sound for the album. I don’t want to be an artist that sits down and just writes songs for radio, I want to write music for all audiences.”

Sara Melody has worked with award-winning producers Luke McMaster (Canadian Idol winners Ryan Malcolm & Kalan Porter), Boomtang (dance remixes for The Philosopher Kings, Bif Naked, Corey Hart, and Ashley MacIsaac), Perry Alexander (Keshia Chanté, Shawn Desman, George) and Marcus Kane (Snow, Gary Beals, X-Quisite).
