Redefining Prosperity: “Wealth” and “Success” go much deeper than money

Oct. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Greater Philadelphia C12 Group has announced that they will be holding their annual Thanks in the Marketplace breakfast event on November 13th, 2012, at the Talamore Country Club in Ambler, Pennsylvania.

Thanks in the Marketplace is an opportunity for local business owners to network, share experiences, learn from others’ inspiring accounts, and give thanks as we approach Thanksgiving.  As a group of Christian business owners, C12 has been meeting on a monthly basis for more than four years. The lessons from the meetings and the accountability of the groups have helped them to see wealth and prosperity as more than just the money they make and the objects they possess.

The event is open to business owners and all who have an interest in how God is moving through the marketplace.  Business owners will share their experiences and the lessons they've  learned through the ups and downs of owning a Christian business.  The theme is "Persevering through Prosperity" with a two-part message:

1) it is amazing how far-reaching the blessings of prosperity are when we allow the term to be defined by God and in his currency, and

2) the path to prosperity is often through difficult challenges that shape us and prepare us for what’s to come.  

Dave Shoemaker, Managing Chair of the C12 Philadelphia Group, says that Thanks in the Marketplace is designed, “to share the hope that we have by presenting some of the stories of hard lessons we’ve learned as well as blessings experienced.   We offer these as an encouragement to our fellow business owners.”

Past attendees have praised the event, citing the inspiration and knowledge they gained from attending. Speakers this year will include Jon Warner, President of Warner Benefits; JD Gamble, CEO of AEX Group; and Mark Kemp, President of Kemp of Associates, as well as special guest Jerry Borton, Executive Director of Joni and Friends.

The Thanks in the Marketplace event will be held from 7:30am to 9:30am on Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at the Talamore Country Club.
