PRLog -- The free app seeks to facilitate the trademark registration process for users, and ensure they are properly filed by connecting them to trademark lawyers. Currently incorporating the Canadian (CIPO) and United States (USPTO) databases, users can verify the availability of a trademark from the convenience of an iPhone.
Trademark search tools and agency directories are not new, but iTrademark brings them together in order to provide a single source for trademark needs. “Some popular online filing services attract clients with low costs, but fail to notify them that without the backing of a trademark lawyer, their submission is at greater risk of being rejected, opposed or confused,” said France Côté, cofounder of Technologies iTrademark.
Users can register a trademark in any target country by filling out a simple form and paying basic fees via Paypal. The information and fees are sent immediately to member agencies. These agencies are trusted IP firms that deal with filing trademark applications and provide legal advice leading up to and following the application.
With this new app, Technologies iTrademark hopes to tap into a new generation of users who increasingly depend on computers and mobile devices for their day-to-day tasks. Agencies representing over 30 countries have already signed up for the service in order to take advantage of the unique marketing opportunities it presents to find new clientele.
The application is now available on the App Store and online.
