Gungroo Goes Beta, Adds Gaming and Arts Activities for Kids

Oct. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Bangalore, 15th October, 2012 – Gungroo, the world’s first safe web presence for kids, has announced the platform has entered Beta stage and gaming and arts activities related sections have been added. They will be adding a slew of games and art apps in coming days.

The company was founded by Dinker Charak, who was previously responsible for setting up Jivox’s Premium Ad Network and managing their India operations. Before that he  worked at Wind River (acquired by Intel), Fermilab, near Chicago (a US DoE Particle Physics Research Lab) and worked on development of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva.

“We are driven to allow kids to ‘Create and Share’” , said Dinker Charak, Founder and CEO at Gungroo. “My-Sketch-Roo”, our first arts activity on www.gungroo.com allows kids to draw sketches and share them with family, has seen a wonderful response. We are adding a slew of new games to keep kids engaged, entertained and informed.”

“Our existing safe social layer,” he continued, “uses Private Network and Parental Settings to control the exposure of the kid’s personal information online. Kids can safely share what they create with verified friends and family. Using plug-ins for GMail, Facebook, etc., Gungroo enables kids to cross-post on various social sites and allows them to communicate with rest of the world.”

The firm earlier raised angel funding from leading technology entreprenuers and plans to seek Seed/Series A funds in near future.
