U.S. Mercedes-Benz Sales Rose 7 Percent in September | Jackson Mercedes-Benz of Macon

Oct. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- MACON, GEORGIA— Mercedes-Benz sales rose 7 percent in September, extend a lead over BMW in total U.S. sales. This makes Mercedes-Benz currently the no. 1 luxury auto brand in the U.S.!

In September, Mercedes-Benz sold a total of 23,156 vehicles in the U.S. These sales numbers were helped along by an updated version of the C-Class compact sedan, as well as the GLK compact SUV. Sales of these popular vehicles helped boost already robust sales.

BMW’s sales rose 0.1 percent to 21,761 in September, while Lexus’ sales rose 36 percent to 20,386.

According to a Mercedes-Benz spokesperson, the automaker has high hopes for the rest of the year. “The moving parts are coming together nicely for us to have a nice finish for the year,” said Steve Cannon, head of Mercedes-Benz’s U.S. operations.
