June 23, 2014 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS-- Nissan is proud to announce that the popular Nissan Altima sedan recently earned the Best Retained Value Award for 2014 for the Midsize Sedan category from Edmunds.com!

Each year, Edmunds.com editors honors the vehicles that have the highest projected residual value after five years, which is based on their average “cash” True Market Value price during the initial five months that they are on the market. The Nissan Altima had the highest projected value out of all the midsize sedans on the market for the 2014 model year.

"For many shoppers, the long-term value of a car is one of the biggest deciding factors when they're comparing brands and models," said Joe Spina, Edmunds.com director of remarketing. "Edmunds.com's Best Retained Value Awards make it easier for shoppers to identify the best return on their purchase if and when they decide to sell it down the road."

Two other Nissan models earned honorable mentions in the prestigious awards-- the Nissan 370Z, for the Compact Convertible segment, and the Nissan Frontier, for the Compact Truck segment.
