SAP Partner to Give Away a Custom Mobile App

Toronto, ON – September 10, 2012 –CONTAX Inc. today announced the launch of their second annual tech makeover contest where one business will win an enterprise mobility solution worth $500,000. The winning company can choose an existing application from the SAP® Mobile App Store or have a custom solution built for their unique business needs.  To enter the contest, organizations must submit an online entry at www.contax.com/mobility .  

This contest follows CONTAX’ wildly successful ERP Makeover Contest in 2011. Last year James Austin Company, a manufacturer in Pennsylvania, won a full SAP Business All-in-One™ implementation. This year, CONTAX has chosen a mobility application as the grand prize due to the popularity of mobile apps for business and the increasing trend of bring your own device (BYOD).

With BYOD increasing in the workplace new security risks are factors for those implementing any mobile application. Questions often arise such as: How can you control authorization? What happens to your data if a mobile device is lost or stolen? Included with the contest this year is a security platform called SAP Afaria which allows organizations to control the information accessed from mobile devices from a secure back end.
