Oct. 6, 2012 - PRLog -- WASHINGTON, Sept 24, 2012 (Updated) — Nobles Worldwide (http://www.nobleworldwide.com/), the largest supplier of ammunition feed systems to the U.S. military and its allies, today announced the appointment of U.S. Navy Vice Admiral John Morgan (Retired) to serve as the company’s Chairman and CEO.  Mr. Troy Priem, John’s predecessor, will remain active with the company serving as the Vice Chairman of the Board.  The announcement of Admiral Morgan’s leadership coincides with the launch of the company’s new mechanically stabilized, crew-served 30mm Viper gun mount, the only one like it in the world.

In this new position, Admiral Morgan will accelerate the development of innovative warfighter solutions while leading the company’s strategic growth. For over 60 years, Nobles has been producing ammunition chutes for the U.S. military. The company, based in St. Croix Falls, Wisc, is a portfolio company of Inverness Graham Investments, a private equity firm based in suburban Philadelphia, Pa.

"Admiral Morgan's leadership benefits all of Nobles stakeholders starting with the US armed forces as he ensures that Nobles continues to provide affordably effective solutions for the mission at hand", described Michael Morrissey of Inverness Graham Investments.

Admiral Morgan brings to Nobles insight and expertise obtained over more than three decades of distinguished service in the United States Navy.  Morgan commanded the USS Enterprise carrier battle group, which played a critical role in operations against al Qaeda and the Taliban following the attacks against the U.S. on 9/11. For his leadership in combat, Morgan was awarded the Bronze Star.

Responding to the appointment announced today, Admiral Morgan commented, “Nobles Worldwide is a company in transition, and moving higher.  Our customers can expect numerous exciting changes in the near future as we deliver better buying power through high performance, durability, optimal safety and lower overall costs.  New designs, new materials and new manufacturing techniques allow us to deliver affordable effectiveness and weapon systems that combat users can trust with their lives.”

Admiral Morgan continued, “Nobles is renowned for excellence in customer service and responsiveness, particularly with the Special Forces of all the military services and we want to extend that same level of support to important allies around the world.”

Admiral Morgan retired from the U.S. Navy in 2008, following 36 years of distinguished service.  Morgan serves on a variety of defense related boards and foundations, and lectures at the Wake Forest University Business School (http://business.wfu.edu/). He earned an economics degree from the University of Virginia (http://www.virginia.edu/).
