Law Career Next for Andrew Jacob Dean

Sept. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Andrew Jacob Dean recently decided to pursue a career in law. He is attending the George Washington University Law School as a part-time JD student. Dean plans to graduate in 2014 with a law degree. Before making this decision, Andrew Jacob Dean spent time serving as an active duty officer in the US Navy.

In the Navy, Andrew Jacob Dean served as a Navy Officer and pilot. He flew F/A 18 Super Hornets off of aircraft carriers. He was awarded two medals for his service as well. The Navy gave him the determination and confidence to apply for law schools and pursue a career in law. Upon completing the LSATs and applying to schools, Dean decided to attend the George Washington University Law School to earn his law degree.

Dean plans to take advantage of George Washington University's location in the nation's capital to jumpstart a career in government or other political positions requiring a law degree. During his undergraduate years he studied and earned a bachelor's degree from the California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo. Asked about how he decided on law school, Andrew Jacob Dean replied, "I feel like everything from my political science degree through my Naval service prepared me for the rigors of earning a law degree. I think I will be able to do a lot of good with a law degree, no matter where I end up starting my career."

Andrew Jacob Dean is currently a member of the Republican National Lawyers Association. So a career in politics upon earning his law degree is not off of the table. The Association provides a lot of opportunities to its members and there are a lot of opportunities in the political realm. Especially after earning a degree from George Washington.
