Meow Wear Custom and Sturdi Products Presents the Feline Fashion Show at AKC Meet The Breeds

Sept. 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Can you imagine over 200 breeds of dogs and cats and just two days to meet them all? The American Kennel Club (AKC), Meet the Breeds® annual event is a pet lover’s dream come true! The fourth annual AKC Meet the Breeds® event will be held this year at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City on October 20th and 21st.  This year, Meow Wear Custom and Sturdi Products will be presenting the Feline Fashion Show which will be on the TICA Main Stage Catwalk from noon – 1:30pm on both days.

The 2012 event will be bigger than ever before and will offer even more canine and feline fun for all, including this highly anticipated fashion show. Meow-Wear® was founded in 2006 by Carla Reiss, a career soft toy and pet products designer.  Over the years, Carla has designed and developed many fabric-based products for the toy and pet products industries at large.  After designing a line of canine apparel, she decided to start Meow-Wear.  The mass-produced goods originally produced for Meow-Wear are now available through www.HandicappedPets.com and selected retailers.

Carla has retained the made-to-order side of her business, now called Meow Wear Custom®, in order to work directly with her clientele.  Her most popular items are the Special Needs Suits as profiled on the TV show, "Must Love Cats".  She has helped countless cat owners maintain their beloved special-needs cats in their homes with these custom suits. She also offers any kind of unique apparel desired by her customers. The clothes presented in the fashion show will not be for handicapped pets however, Meow Wear offers a large selection of fully adjustable collars, sweaters, coats, and dresses. TICA was founded on June 22, 1979 by Georgia Morgan, and a handful of cat enthusiasts. They had a dream of building the most progressive, flexible and innovative cat registry in the world.
