Sept. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Inc. cut the ribbon on its new Estero Retail & Donation Center on Friday, Sept., 14. The Estero grand opening follows just a week after the agency opened its latest Donation Center & Book Store in Naples. Goodwill board members, business leaders, and many people from the Estero community were on hand for the highly anticipated event.

A large crowd of shoppers had already formed outside the book store by 8:15 a.m., well in advance of the 9:00 a.m ribbon cutting. Erika Hilliard of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce was on hand to facilitate the ribbon cutting.

“The new Estero store replaces our Three Oaks boutique,” says Madison Mitchell, Goodwill’s community relations coordinator.  “It’s more than three times larger than the boutique and will employ 15 additional associates. Having a drive-up donation drop-off and being right on Corkscrew also makes it very convenient for our customers to shop and donate.”

The new Estero retail store is located at 10351 Corkscrew Commons Drive.

The new stores utilizes greener construction elements including thermal insulation, to properly seal the building and eliminate air leakage, native plant species throughout the landscaping, and energy-efficient interior light fixtures.

Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday – Saturday and 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
