Microlite Software Expands VPS Services to US Locations

Sept. 8, 2012 - PRLog -- Microlite Software offers a range of low cost Windows and Linux virtual servers hosted in Manchester UK. In addition to the UK-based product line, Microlite Software will now offer virtual servers at a number of US locations.

The company’s range of Linux and Windows virtual servers now covers three locations, in Manchester UK, California (US West) and Pennsylvania (US East).  Pricing, specifications and support levels are identical regardless of the location, allowing customers to choose the location of their services based entirely on business need rather than cost.

Available Linux operating systems include Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, while Windows servers come with a choice of Windows Server 2003 R2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 (Web, Standard or Enterprise editions). Both 32 and 64-bit operating systems are available. Windows servers come with a number of free add-ons, including SQL Server 2008 R2 Express, the recently released SQL Server 2012 R2 Express, and for total remote server management the open-source WebsitePanel is available at no extra cost.

Specifications range from 512MB/20GB of disk storage for the base model through to 4GB RAM/250GB storage for the high-end version.
