-- Newton Abbot business group, BNI, has already provided £250,000 of business to local companies and trades people in the past few months. “But we can provide much more” says director John Hart. “We are on target to provide £500,000 of new business this year.”
Each Friday the 24 businesses meet for a hearty breakfast and to give new business referrals to members. Last Friday 46 new jobs were provided. “We are constantly looking for more businesses to join us and expand the skill base” said John Hart, Abbott Insurance Consultants. “In particular we are hunting for a ground worker, landscaper, management consultant and painter and decorator. Our meeting on Friday 7th September is an ideal opportunity for these and other businesses to come and see how we work for them. By starting the meeting at 6.45am and finishing at 8.30am it does not affect the working day.”
Several businesses have been attending for 10 years and many for 5 years. Members come from Paignton, Torquay, Dawlish, Teignmouth, Dartmoor, and Newton Abbot.
So the message is clearly “come to breakfast and start to build business.” To attend the meeting at Ten Tors Inn, Kingsteignton, telephone John Hart – 01626 366449
