KM Ware Global, SAP & InvestGazeta Business Lunch: Medicine in the Cloud

Aug. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- On April 26, InvestGazeta, jointly with KM Ware Global and SAP, had a business lunch on the topic of “Medicine in the Cloud or Do Private Clinics in Ukraine Need Information Technologies.” The main points of discussion were as follows: “A New World Trend – Cloud Technologies as an Instrument for Cutting Costs and Increasing Business Effectiveness”, “Specialized Solutions for Clinics. First Experience in Ukraine”, and “World Practice of Using Clouds in Medicine”. One of the main speakers of the round table, Victor Yermak, Business Development Executive of KM Ware Global, noted that these days, information technologies allow not only to control patient’s data, but also to optimize expenditures. “Cloud technologies enable users to pay for a specific service, cut costs for highly-qualified IT specialists, and reinforces the security of the data. As for the downsides of these technologies, they are disputable in comparison with their virtues,” said Victor Yermak.

The meeting was also attended by Inna Ozhogina, an expert in business development, Svetlana Matskevich, an architect of business solutions in healthcare, CIS SAP, Erick Adel, CEO of Crosstalk Research, USA (via Skype), and Dmitriy Belolipetskiy, IT expert in medicine, Russia. The experts agreed that today there is a need for a correct approach to using information technologies. “To understand the necessity of information technologies, one needs to realize a few things. Firstly, we can’t survive without IT. Secondly, in many cases it is more profitable to purchase IT solutions rather than develop them ourselves. Take electricity, for example, it never occurs to us to build a power plant to switch on the lights: software is not different. Thirdly, everyone has to stick to their trade: doctors should treat patients and IT specialists should provide reliable solutions,” pointed out Inna Ozhogina.

Moreover, among those who participated in the discussion were: Hennadiy Mysnik, Vice-Chairman of Ingo Ukraina Insurance Consulting Agency; Victoriya Chernaya, Head of the Management Department of Private Insurance Sales in AHA Strahovaniye Insurance Company (AHA Insurance); Yevgeniy Shiyan, IT Director of Dobrobut medical network; Vitaliy Ostashko, Director of  State Clinical Scientific-Practical Telemedicine Center at Ministry of Health of Ukraine; Victoriya Ruban, Head of the Department of Public Relations of MTS Ukraina; Nataliya Spiridonova, Head of the  Department of Private Insurance Development of Ilichevskoye Insurance Company.
