The PowerShot SX500 IS, which will be in stores in Australia from mid-September 2012, enables users to shoot photographs from wide angle through to an extensive 30x optical zoom, leaving them ready to capture any shot, from family portraits to travel landscapes and sports events with true-to-life image quality.

Featuring Canon’s ZoomPlus technology, the PowerShot SX500 IS extends high quality shooting up to twice the range of the optical zoom (60x ZoomPlus) through optimised image processing.
