LogicWard pitches online to raise funds to help them in their effort to champion creativity

LogicWard a tech start-up turn fundraiser to help bring to life LinksWeaver their new service for creative people

Aug. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- LogicWard, a small tech start-up company with roots in Switzerland and the UK is turning to the internet to help raise funds for LinksWeaver, their new service which champions creativity.

After considering the different funding options that were available, LogicWard decided to use crowd funding, the latest internet sensation which assists individuals and companies in getting their projects off the ground.
They opted to run their campaign using Indiegogo.com due to its worldwide reach.  Campaigns that run on Indiegogo.com are live for a set number of days in which time the public is given chance to contribute to the campaign using any major credit or debit card. In return for their pledge, a contributor receives a ‘Perk’ with larger pledges offering bigger and better incentives.

When asked about why crowd funding was appealing, David Haddock, a co-founder of LogicWard said “up until now we have been completely self-funded. We’ve spent all of our savings and put everything we have into LinksWeaver. Now that we’re getting close to release we want to make sure that we can get it out there to as many people as possible and we need the funding to help with that.”
In return for making pledges to the funding campaign, contributors are being offered exclusive discounts on the standard monthly subscription to LinksWeaver.

LinksWeaver.com provides a hub for creative people from any background to meet and work together on projects and ideas. The idea was born from one of the founders own previously failed search to find a Graphic Designer to work on a project he had devised. Wasting both time and money, it came as a shock that a service didn’t exist for creative industries to network.

“There is currently nowhere on the web where creative people can meet and team up to work together on their ideas” said David, “yes there are freelance websites but not only do you have the cost of hiring someone but you also never know what the quality of the work will be like as they won’t have the same passion for the project as what you do, to them it’s just another job. Also, there are those people that have had a great idea but don’t have the skills or finances to do anything about it. They can’t use freelance websites so what do they do? Normally nothing, the idea would be forgotten about and life would go on. But with LinksWeaver we can help make those ideas become a reality by helping people build a team that is as passionate about the idea as what they are.”

LinksWeaver has been developed with many functions in mind; it can be used to help job seekers and students gain the experience they need to find employment as well as helping to build portfolios, improve resumes and even to launch new business ideas.

With LinksWeavers focus on bringing together people that share a passion for a project, LogicWard believe that a team united through LinksWeaver will be more productive and achieve far more success than what would be achieved when hiring contractors.
