About  “ Raising Wolves”
Raising Wolves is an original drama from Baltimore director Derick Thomas.  The movie follows the Tender Trios, a dangerous female gang and the Wolf Pack, teenage street hustlers who get caught up in a deadly web of deception, masterminded by Ox, a drug kingpin , after he plans a fake kidnapping to extort money from the Tender Trios.  Things go awry when they refused to pay without a fight.  

True to form, Derick Thomas has used his sleek cinematography style to show case his latest urban drama but it’s the subject matters that are sure to capture audiences from all demographics. Thomas shows kids committing the unthinkable, to leading characters of all lesbian gang, to mental health issues, parental neglect, promiscuity, overt greed and materialism, drugs, murder and even rape. Raising Wolves has it all. If you think, by the title you know what this film is about, think again. This two hour twenty minute roller coaster is sure to take you threw a range of emotions that will end with a hold your breath moment.

Many urban films get a bad rap for being cheap, however sometimes a true master peace of cinema emerges about the plight of life in the urban cities across world. Not a new theme, but a great reminder we still have a lot of work to do as a human race. Raising Wolves premiers September 12th at the Charles Theater 9pm.
