Brossman educated attendees on the best and easiest ways to take advantage of all social media has to offer to support business. Brossman explained, “LinkedIn is an incredibly powerful and valuable resource on many different levels, including finding experts, having business questions answered, and competitive research. Twitter has been extensively used in political campaigns and banned in some countries because of its power to spread viral messages. Twitter also allows you to find out about the news, even before the ‘news media’ knows!” He concluded, “Google+ makes connecting on the web more like connecting in the real world. The seminar was videotaped and will be webcasted at NCA CPA workshops twice in 2012 and Brossman will answer questions live during the broadcasts. In this class he taught participants how to create a dynamic Facebook profile and business page to build strong customer connections as well as how to use Facebook statistics and pay-per-click. Basic online etiquette techniques and how to develop a positive online presence were also included.
