E. L. “Betsy” Smith Appointed to Community and Professional Boards

RALEIGH, N.C. - Jan. 4, 2016 - PRLog -- Betsy Smith, founder and CEO of E. L. Smith Consulting, will be serving on one community board and the boards of two professional organizations in 2016.

Betsy will serve on the advisory board of the North Carolina Women and Girls Initiative, a branch of the NC Council for Women. The Advisory Board functions in an advisory capacity to the NCCFW Board and to the Women and Girls Initiative. The role of this Advisory Committee is to strengthen the connections between the broader community, organizations committed to empowering girls to succeed across NC through advice, advocacy and fundraising.

“I’m excited to be working with Gale McKoy Wilkins to help women and girls realize their full potential,” Smith said.

Additionally, Betsy is a founding board member of the Ellevate NC Triangle Board. Ellevate is a global professional women's network dedicated to these beliefs and to the economic engagement of women worldwide. The most expansive and diverse network of its kind, the community is made up of successful, motivated and passionate professional women from various industries and walks of life with one common belief: that investing in themselves and in other women is good business.

In January 2016, Betsy takes office as the Vice President of the RTP Chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Board. The HBA’s purpose is to further the advancement and impact of women in the business of healthcare. “I’ve been involved in the RTP HBA Mentoring program for 4 years and look forward to working with the motivated women on the board,” stated Smith.
